A Boy and His Bubble Bath

Barnes is at the "I do it myself mommy!" stage.  I think he was born saying that!  Bath time is no different.  This morning I made the boys' bubble bath a little too bubbly and Barnes and Miles loved it!  Miles was in the tub also but he would not participate in anything having to do with a camera!

Photography is my passion and really has been since I was in college. I have been a slow study until people started asking me about my photographs. Then friends and family started asking me to take shoot them! One class led to another, one photo shoot led to another, and now I am open for business!

Feels Like Spring!

It is hard to believe that a few days ago the ground was covered in snow and ice. The boys and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and head to the park. We met Luke, Lan, and Drew. The boys had a great time playing and "skipping rocks". We really took in the warm weather and plan to do it all over again today!

It is rare that I make a photo...so when my friend Leslie asked me to do some family pics for her, I asked her to do the same for me. We both love photography and enjoy trading photo tips! Our boys played so great together and it made for a great afternoon! I Look for Leslie's link under my friends...Thanks Leslie. I love the pictures!

Big Brother

Today on the way home from our day, Miles told Barnes if a big Transformer like Optimus Prime came in his room he would hold him and protect him.  I  am glad to know they have each other's backs!

In the Car

Tonight we were on the way home from eating dinner at Gam and Pop's house and the boys were in the backseat talking.
Barnes said, "Mommy is a girl, Daddy is a boy, Miles is a boy, and Barnes is a boy."
Miles said, "Barnes we are called a family, all four of us are family."

Barnes cried out for Gam like he usually does and Miles said, "Barnes stop crying buddy, Pop will probably buy you something if you are good at school."
(Barnes goes to "school"  one morning a week.)

Then they were counting.  Barnes said, "Fifteen, sixteen."
Miles said, "Daddy did you hear that, Barnes counted to sixteen, he can say sixteen!  Barnes knows his numbers!"

Even Miles enjoys Barnes learning new things.

Simple little conversations but they are sooooo sweet to hear.

Snow Day in the 'Ville

Miles and Barnes had a wonderful time in the snow this morning.  They woke up bright eyed and thrilled that the possibility of snow was now a reality!  Barnes just kept saying, "We can make a snowman, and a snow angels."  Miles couldn't get dressed fast enough.  We headed to Mimi Miranda's house where Lan and Luke were already outside.  Allan helped the boys try to start a snowman but they jut kept kicking the snowball.  Sae and Bradley joined us soon after and all of the cousins were together to celebrate in the snow.  After we finished playing in the snow, we all headed inside for lunch and the kids played inside until it was time to head home for naps.  It was so awesome to see the boys enjoy our winter wonderland!

Dinner Date

This weekend our neighbors came over for dinner.  They have a precious little girl named Virginia Anne!  Our boy have called her "Ginger Anne" since birth and Miles is still trying to understand how "that little girl" walks.  The boys love her and pamper her when she is around.  Saturday night they even pulled out their superhero capes to impress her.  We love our "Ginger Anne"!

BEDTIME!

Barnes and Miles love to chat before they go to sleep at night. It is one of my favorite times of day because they are so silly and they enjoy being with each other at bedtime. Miles always tells Barnes to get up and turn the light on, or open the door, or to ask for some juice. Barnes usually does it. Last night, Barnes kept sneaking (or he thought he was sneaking) up to his door and whispering (or he thought he was whispering) out into the kitchen. I heard him and I knew he was there so I grabbed my camera and this is what he was doing...

Cabin Fever...

I knew the mild weather wouldn't last! I guess winter is finally here.  My family is a warm weather crew and we are already counting down the days until summer.  We are all about the beach and the pool (and I am all about sunscreen of course)!  I certainly can't wait to spend all day with my boys!  Until then we will just have to dream!  Here are a couple of pictures from last summer.  We will just have to look back on these until then!

Simply Saturday

We all love Saturdays at our house. We sleep a little late...get a slow start... and then just do whatever it is that we want to do that day! Today we headed out to Big's for lunch. Barnes and Miles ate lunch with all of their "little" cousins. Of course they were a little too active and maybe a little loud but we didn't let them get that way until we had the room to ourselves. They just love to laugh and run and play and I can't stop them while they are being "little". Lan and Luke headed off early but Sae hung around a little longer (that is what the Hall Daddy's usually do so Liz and I have just learned to be that way too!) They found one of the most dangerous spots in the area and started to climb. I am just not crazy about unfinished wooden steps. I did have my camera so I snapped a few pictures of them.
Later on the boys wanted to go outside and play. I didn't mind because the weather was absolutely beautiful. We played on the playset, rode our pony Jed and our bikes, and jumped in the leaves. They play so well together and I love it when they love are affectionate toward each other. I guess that is like a mother's dream! Anyway, my dream has come true with these two little guys (my big guy is not too bad either!)

Luke's First Birthday!

Baby Luke turned one this month and we celebrated with a Snowman Party! Luke was all grins at his party and loved every minute of it! He dug right into his cake and played with all of his presents. He really loved his balloons! Luke's closest friends and family came to celebrate! Happy Birthday Baby Luke! We love you!

Who Needs Ryan Seacrest?

Here is the traditional living room jig at the Hall's house! I think the kids had a blast. Sae isn't exactly happy here but, I couldn't help but notice Barnes and Eli keeping the beat to such an old school song! Oh, and La La, Clay is so glad Sae got all of those great dress up clothes for Christmas. The boys are loving them!

New Year's

New Year's Eve was a huge party...if you were 4 or under. Our little ones had a blast at Liz, Dean, and Sae's house. Brooks furnished the "Kid Friendly Sparklers". No one got hurt and fun was had by all...While we were letting the kids play with the sparklers, Dean said in a joking way, "Don't burn the Patagonias..." We went inside to warm up and realized we did just that. Thank goodness they were just small spots but still! A little burn can't ruin Barnes' new jacket from Sae! Thank God...no one got hurt! I will post a few more pics and videos from New Year's. The dance party was a blast!

Knock Knock Jesus!

I am backtracking a little on videos. This was a video I took of Barnes right before Christmas. He was "helping" me address Christmas cards. It took me twice as long but the conversation was worth it!
