Cute Cousins

One more beach trip!  Finally the three sisters make a beach trip at the same time!  It's time for everyone to head back to work and school and we really wanted to get the boys together for one last summer trip to the pier, arcade, and ocean!  Tan lines will soon fade and tickets to the arcade will be spent, but these memories will last forever!  I am sure there will be some weekend trips to Nana's while the weather is still warm but the extended trips have come to an end until....next summer!

We have spent the last few weeks trying to "squeeze" all of the activities we can think of into our final days of summer.  Gam and I took the kids to the zoo and we all had a great time.  The lions, bears, chimpanzees, and elephants were all trying to beat the heat and we couldn't blame them.  It was pretty warm.  We stayed cool by heading to the inside exhibits every few stops.  We did it all.  The kids soaked up all of the information Gam could give them about the animals.  I could try to tell them about the animals but it so much better coming from Gam.  The kids were so sweet and did not give us a minutes trouble! We played hard at the zoo and the Chick-Fil-A after, then everyone crashed on the way home!

Andrew is 4!

Lan wasn't so sure about the slide at first!
Barnes was Diego/Superman.
Miles was so brave!  If you know Miles sliding head first down a giant waterslide is not his cup of tea!
Little Allie bounced all the way down!
Of course baby Luke gave it a go!  No Fear!
The birthday boy!

Our good friend Andrew turned four at the beginning of the month!  We had a great time at his Superhero party!  The attire was superhero or swimsuits or both!  Andrew was a super sweet birthday boy!  Happy Birthday (a little late) Andrew!

OIB 2009 Pictures

Sae cruising on our final night at the beach!
Sweet Ellis entertained us all week with her "fast talk"!
Daddy's boys!
Baby Luke was so into the water and so was Lan!  They are little fish!  They are also always ready for a picture!
The bigger they get the harder it gets to keep everyone still!  You would think it would be opposite!  Still aren't they cute!
Laney and Andrew...Drew and Miles were the best secret agents on the beach.  Laney is the best babysitter ever!
Up to no good?
Miles loves his beach house at Ocean Isle and is so upset that next year we will be staying somewhere different.  Barnes just loves everything!
Build a Bear!

Relaxing on the beach!  My boys made life easy for me.  They were more sand than surf!

As long as Sae brings her dress ups we are all game!

OIB 2009

Our vacation at OIB came and passed in a flash.  Many people ask how much fun can you have with 10 children under the age of 7 running around?  We have a blast.  The kids are normal kids, some cry when they get tired, we hear "that's mine", we say "NO" a bunch, but all in all they are super sweet and we love playing with them and watching them enjoy the summer sun.  This year we went to the inlet by boat and played where the water was calm.  The kids loved swimming and digging and more importantly snacking!  The moms took the kids to Build A Bear one afternoon and everyone stuffed and outfitted their favorite animals.  My children love it but I love it just as much!  Barnes found a new best friend in Laney (Sae is still his girlfriend).  Miles really enjoyed playing Galactic Heroes and Secret Agent with Andrew.  Lan and Ellis were inseperable.  Sae shared all of her wonderful costumes with Ellis and the boys!  Sae and Liz provided all the goodies for the house again this year.  Meredith A. keeps everyone straight while Kirk is away.  The boys play all night after the kids go to bed.  The girls get in bed with the kids so they can get a good night's rest.  Next year we will have an addition to the vacay crew (we have a sweet baby nephew on the way)  -and a new bigger roomier house!  We can hardly wait until next year!  We can fill the car to the brim and head to the shore!
Photos are on their way!
