Every year Gam and Pop plant sunflowers and this year they were just beautiful. We gathered all of the little ones together for a picture of the Hall clan. Not our most successful photo shoot but, mission accomplished.

and this fish really learned to swim!!!

We spent most of this week in the pool. We had swim lessons with Miss Madison then, more swimming at Mr. Jimmy's. I am so proud of Barnes! He was really afraid of the water before he started lessons and with the encouragement of his cousins he dove right in with Miss Madison. Miles learned so much and has started practicing everything! Madison was a wonderful teacher. The kids learned so much from Miss Madison!

Barnes is Having a Ball!

I didn't peg Barnes as a go getter on the ball field, he just likes to make friends. But little Barnes is a ball player! He loves to go after the ball, hit it hard, and run his bunky off! I have to say I am impressed and very proud of him. He and his teammates have braved this June heat and I think they are undefeated! I am pretty sure he loves to play and I know he loves the snack he gets after the game!

Poppy's Birthday

I have started making my family get together for pictures every time I get the chance. They don't always like the extra time it takes but they are usually happy with the outcome!
This day was no different. But after the picture taking was all said and done, we did have a great time celebrating Poppy. He is the sweetest man I know and I hope my boys are just like him.
He is a hard worker, a little hard headed, determined, kind, and quiet. He thinks before he speaks and if it doesn't need to be said, he just doesn't say it...I am proud of my Daddy and we all love him very much!

Blessed

My family is a blessing, their health, happiness, and love for one another. I thank God every night for taking care of us. God takes us in His hands and holds us so tight that we can feel the squeeze. I pray for the strong Mothers who have children who need an extra squeeze...I admire their strength and courage. I pray they get their extra squeeze.

Miles' class had a special Mother's Day party at school. I have to say it was the best day!
Miles made a beautiful blue hat with blue shiny beads and was so sweet.
He took care of me the whole time I was there.
He put his hand on my back and kept it there the whole time.
I hope he will always take care of me like that!
It was a day I will remember forever!

Miles under the water!

Summer isn't summer unless you have been to Mr. Jimmy's pool. We have had so much fun there over the past few years. We have spent quite some time there this summer and Miles can say that is where he learned to swim. I left him there with Miriam, Russ, and his friend Daniel and I come back to pick him up and he is a little fish! Of course I had to snap a few shots of my little swimmer!

What A Season!

Photobucket
Miles loved playing instructional league baseball this year! He learned so much from his great coach and his teammates. He started the season hitting off the tee every time and by the end of the season he was hitting the pitches. He learned to "spit", "slide", and hit the bat across home plate before he got ready for his pitch. It is amazing how they watch and learn. He made so many new friends and became a big boy in a matter of a month. I love watching him grow into this little person who no longer needs me for everything. We are so proud of him. Way to go Miles!
